Gerald Bernstein, MD, MBA

Dr. Gerald Bernstein is a Seattle-based cosmetic dermatologist whos career spans over 40 years of cutting-edge and innovative procedures. He believes that cosmetic dermatology can achieve natural-looking results, and help people look the age they feel. This belief is rooted in a tradition of patient-focus attention, and a genuine interest in the tens of thousands of patients he has treated over the years; many of which have become close friends.

Dr. Bernstein is best known for pioneering the Mohs Micrographic surgery for removing skin cancer, as well as Tumescent Liposuction; in the Pacific Northwest. He has regularly lectured, authored, and taught seminars internationally on various procedures. He is a former president for the American College of MOHS Microsurgery (1983-1986) and former member of the Board of the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery.

Dr. Bernstein is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine, and completed his Dermatology residency at Cook County Hospital. He also served two years in the US Navy as a Hospital Dermatologist in Bremerton, Washington; and achieved the rank of Lieutenant Commander prior to being honorably discharged in September 1968. Dr. Bernstein currently lives near Seattle with his wife Sarah, and enjoys spending time with his children and grandchildren, as well as skiing, flying, gardening, reading and ancient history.

Although Dr. Bernstein enjoys his active retirement lifestyle, he still practices many cosmetic procedures by request. Please feel free to contact him.
